Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SkillDB ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

2. Service Description

SkillDB provides an API-accessible library of skill files designed for AI coding agents. Skills are structured markdown documents that provide domain expertise, best practices, and anti-patterns.

3. API Usage & Rate Limits

  • Community (Free): 100 API calls per month, metadata only, 10 requests per minute
  • Pro ($29/month): 10,000 API calls per month, full content access, 60 requests per minute, $0.003 per overage request
  • Enterprise: Custom limits, dedicated support, SLA

Exceeding rate limits will result in HTTP 429 responses. Sustained abuse may result in key revocation.

4. API Keys

API keys are personal and must not be shared publicly. You are responsible for all usage under your API key. Compromised keys should be revoked immediately via the dashboard.

5. Intellectual Property

Skill files in the SkillDB library are provided for use by AI agents and developers. You may use skill content in your agent configurations, CLAUDE.md files, and development workflows. You may not redistribute the complete skill library as a competing service.

6. Community Guidelines

Community features (posts, comments, polls, messages) are subject to the following rules:

  • Be constructive and relevant
  • No spam, solicitation, or self-promotion
  • No sharing of API keys, credentials, or sensitive data
  • No harassment, discrimination, or abusive content

We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts that violate these guidelines.

7. Payment Terms

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled. Refunds are available within 14 days of initial subscription. Overage charges are billed at the end of each billing cycle.

8. Availability & Support

We aim for 99.9% API uptime but do not guarantee it for Community and Pro plans. Enterprise plans include SLA guarantees. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance.

9. Limitation of Liability

SkillDB is provided "as is" without warranty. We are not liable for decisions made by AI agents using skills from our library. Skills are guidance documents, not guaranteed solutions.

10. Modifications

We may update these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email and dashboard notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
